Before any Habitat Family can take possession of their new house, they must complete a Home Buyer’s Course.  This course teaches families how to plan and stick to a monthly budget, as well as discussing and defining basic terms and words that will come up in settlement.  The course is offered by VHDA and takes place in Charlottesville.  The course is two days over a two-week period for three hours each day.  Fluvanna County Habitat helps the family register for the course and works with them every step of the way.
