Local Habitat Chapter to Benefit from Commonwealth of Virginia Campaign

Fluvanna County Habitat for Humanity is an approved charitable organization able to benefit from the annual Commonwealth of Virginia Campaign.  The CVC allows Virginia state workers to make contributions to local charities by consolidating the mass of campaign solicitations into one organized, efficient and effective appeal.  The Campaign runs from October 1 to November 30 in state workplaces such as VDOT, DMV, health departments, all community colleges, universities, correctional facilities, social services, etc.

Fluvanna County Habitat for Humanity completing their eleventh house in Fluvanna County and expects to begin construction on house twelve before year-end.  The local chapter builds houses with tax-deductible donations using volunteer and skilled labor.  By working together, homeowners, volunteers and donors become partners in the work of building houses, while building new relationships as well.  These partnerships include individuals, churches, companies, foundations, organizations and others who join together to build lives as well as houses.  Through the houses being built, hope is restored and lives are changed, as the cycle of need is broken.

If you are a state worker and would like to donate to the Fluvanna County Habitat for Humanity please watch for Commonwealth of Virginia Campaign information that will be distributed through your workplace in the near future.  The code number you will need to use is 3967.  This will insure that your contributions go to the Fluvanna Habitat affiliate.
